The I²°ä Mentor.Live Program (M.L.) aims at connecting experienced entrepreneurs, subject-matter experts and business professionals with promising mentees located or associated with ±õ²°ä. The program is a relationship-driven framework that secures the mentee’s development while giving mentors and mentees the freedom to carry out the mentorship the way they prefer. Types of Mentoring Monthly Mentoring The most common and impactful form of mentorship. Allows a mentor to create stronger bonds with the mentee A total of 2-4 hours per month spent on physical or online meetings between mentor and mentee Long-term relationship-driven mentoring A chance to get an in-depth look into the development process of a mentee Flash Mentoring A one-time, face-to-face mentoring session. Suitable for mentors with a tight schedule 60-minute session with a mentee Organized once every 6-8 weeks A way to meet different mentees in a short time frame Group Mentoring A many-to-one, face-to-face mentoring session. A mentoring session between one mentee and several mentors Gathers the skills and expertise from a mentor group and enhances the mentoring experience A way for mentors to learn from each other while helping the mentee develop Virtual Mentoring A remote mentoring session often conducted via phone or video conference A mentoring session in which the mentor and the mentee(s) are in different locations Suitable for mentors looking to engage with mentees outside of their geographic location A great way for participants in different locations but common fields to establish mentoring relationships Mentors work with the mentees pro bono, without expectation of reward or compensation. They will share of their knowledge and guidance freely, and will open their networks when appropriate. M.L. Matching Process The mentor-mentee matching process is a critical part of M.L.. New participants can apply to join M.L. by completing an application, and mentees who are already enrolled can apply for a new/additional mentor. Matching can happen in three different ways: Matching Events ±õ²°ä will organize matching events for mentors and mentees to interact and get to know one another. Mentees get a chance to pitch in front of mentors with a variety of expertise in business and technology. Mentees receive feedback and get the opportunity to meet with interested mentors through short one-on-one sessions. Mentors get the opportunity to select the mentees they find most interesting. ±õ²°ä Matching Mentees and mentors who are not matched at the events have the opportunity to be matched afterward based on the information provided by both parties during the application process. ±õ²°ä staff match the needs of the mentees with the experience and professional skills of the mentors. If applicable, the business plan and general information of the mentee is sent to a potential mentor who can then decide to accept or decline the match. Upon acceptance from the mentor, ±õ²°ä will make an introduction between mentee and mentor. Direct Matching The ±õ²°ä webpage will have a mentor section that will allow mentees to check out the entire network of ±õ²°ä mentors. Mentees will be able to view a brief description of all the mentors, their key professional skills, and a brief biography. Mentees can map out potentially interesting mentors who can help them overcome current challenges. Mentees who find an interesting mentor profile can contact ±õ²°ä for a formal introduction. Upon acceptance from the mentor, ±õ²°ä will make an introduction between mentee and mentor.
