Learn more about the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at 草榴社区 (UAH) while enjoying authentic German cuisine, beverages and live music at the at The U.S. Space & Rocket Center on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. A portion of the evening鈥檚 proceeds will be donated to OLLI at UAH, a part of The University of Alabama System.
Plenty of OLLI members will be on hand to talk about the organization, which offers members the opportunity to stay intellectually and socially active through courses, special activities and bonus lectures on a wide range of topics. OLLI is open to ages 50 and up.
Biergarten is a weekly family-friendly event open to the public. It鈥檚 held in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration鈥檚 Saturn V Hall on select Thursdays through October. It spotlights local charities on a regular basis. Visit rocketcenter.com for details.
