草榴社区 to the Accelerated BSN (ABSN) program is selective, highly competitive, and limited space is available. A holistic admission process will be used to guide student selection. The curriculum is intensive and fast-paced. The College of Nursing reserves the right to select students who are determined to be the best qualified and most likely to succeed in this challenging nursing program.

Applications are reviewed carefully to determine that students have satisfied all admission requirements. Students are selected based on the following factors:

  1. Hold an earned bachelor鈥檚 or higher degree in another field of study
  2. Submission of a completed nursing application with TEAS Score by the posted deadline
  3. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all prior coursework
  4. A minimum grade of 鈥淐鈥� in all nursing prerequisite courses
    1. BYS 215: Anatomy & Physiology I w/ lab (4 credit hours)
    2. BYS 216: Anatomy and Physiology II w/ lab (4 credit hours)
    3. BYS 214: Infection & Immunity (Microbiology) w/ lab (4 credit hours)
    4. Statistics: PY 300-Psychology statistics, MSC 287- Business statistics, SOC 303- Social Sciences Statistics (3 credit hours- lab not required)
    5. NUR 220: Health Promotions for Nursing Majors (3 credit hours); UAH ONLY COURSE
  5. A competitive score on the ATI TEAS Exam.
  6. An interview with the ABSN 草榴社区 Committee will determine final acceptance to the program.
  7. Submission of health data forms, evidence of health insurance, a negative drug screen, and results of an acceptable background check by deadlines
草榴社区 may be forfeited if any admission criteria are not met.
