Research Areas
Our faculty participate in our undergraduate and graduate educational programs while directing active, cutting-edge research programs. This research activity, available to both undergraduate and graduate students, provides the foundation needed for a lifetime of independent learning. According to a National Science Foundation annual survey, UAH ranks #13 in NASA-funded physical science research expenditures.

Dr. Sharifa Love-Rutledge
Dr. Sharifa Love-Rutledge has been named to a list of 鈥�1,000 Inspiring Black Scientists". Her area of special research at UAH includes diabetes and insulin resistance, as well as cognitive decline and aging.
